Night and Day Song Contest
The inaugural Night & Day Song Competition, in association with Lensmen Photography and Video Production, aims to support up and coming artists by providing the resources needed to increase their exposure and to get their song heard. The winner will be provided with a full day recording at their choice of three studios. Lensmen Photography and Video Production will provide two days filming and two days of editing to produce a music video. All four finalists will be given the opportunity to play a set at the festival during which the final decision on the winning song will be made.
Judging
Entries will be screened by a listening committee who will select twenty songs to be sent to the judges who will then select the four finalists. The judging committee consists of people involved in the music industry. Production value will not be considered when selecting finalists.
How to Enter
By email only. Send your song to declan@nightandday.ie
Preferred format is: WAV, AIFF or FLAC files.
You may also send a link to your song on bandcamp/soundcloud etc. However, please ensure that the download option is enabled so we can download the song.
Entries accepted from April 1st to July 31st 2022 only.

For the purposes of the competition, a song must have both lyrics and music. All submitted songs must be original, unpublished (or self-published) songs that have been written or co-written by the entrant(s). For competition purposes, an unpublished song is defined as being recorded and self-released by the entrant(s) and/or not co-published by a commercially active music publisher.
Each entry must be an original, unpublished musical composition for which the contestant retains the copyright and authority to submit and perform the composition in the contest.
One entry per artist/band.
The song MUST be performed by the song contest entrant.
Entrants must be available to perform at the festival on either September 24th or 25th 2022.
Entrant agrees to accept the final decision of the judges.
Entrants give permission for their email address to be shared with Lensmen Photography and Video Production only.
Entrants give permission for their entry to be added to a playlist on the Night and Day Festival website.
The writer retains all rights to submitted songs.
